Privacy Policy

Bahandi by JMC Residence ("Bahandi", "we", "us") operates the Bahandi website and mobile app, a marketplace for Bohol-made products. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

By using Bahandi, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

When you place an order: your name, mobile number, and delivery address. We need these to process and deliver your order.

When you pay: your payment is handled entirely by our payment provider, PayMongo. We never see, collect, or store your card number, GCash credentials, or any other payment details. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount.

When you apply to sell or consign: your name or business name, town, mobile number, a description of your products, and any product photos you upload.

When you post to the community board: the message you write and the contact details you choose to include. Please note that board posts are published publicly on our site, so only include contact details you are willing to make public.

Automatically: our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use advertising trackers or sell any data.

How we use your information

• To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders
• To contact you about an order, application, or post
• To review and approve seller, consignment, and board submissions
• To display approved products and board posts on the site
• To keep records required for tax and business purposes
• To detect and prevent fraud or misuse

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Bahandi:

• PayMongo — payment processing
• Netlify — website and app hosting
• Google (Sheets, Apps Script) — storing product listings and submissions
• Formspree — delivering form submissions and order notifications to us by email
• Cloudinary — storing product photos you upload
• Delivery partners — we pass your name, contact number, and address only as needed to deliver your order

We may also disclose information where required by Philippine law, or to protect our legal rights.

Product photos and public content

Photos you upload for a product listing are hosted publicly and may be displayed on our site and app. Do not upload photos containing people, documents, or anything private that you do not want shown publicly. Only upload images you own or have permission to use.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet Philippine tax and accounting requirements. Seller and consignment application details are kept while the relationship is active. Board posts are removed on request or when no longer current.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Security

We use reputable providers and secure (HTTPS) connections. Payments are handled by PayMongo, which maintains its own security standards for card and e-wallet data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Bahandi is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always show the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on our site.
